DREAMS ABOUT DREAMS
21 x 18 “Acrylic & airbrush with resin on canvas
Supriya Menon Meneghetti

Working with ideas of sea life and the beauty of it.

Choosing, planning, enjoying the visualising and the dreaming.

Then the time comes closer to make and finish the works, and life goes by as usual. A time to start working with clay; loving the material, creating… newer ideas and the work takes form.

Painting slips and decorating — thinking of the sun, sea and sand. While the rain pours down in my city as never before.

Few images of corals while snorkelling ages back, shells — also as functional vases, fishes, twigs and driftwood found on the beach.

Spectrum
The artists in the Ceramic Spectrum 2016 have varied approaches to clay — the basic material of all ceramic production. While some develop the vessel form, others explore new ideas. The inspiration, content and the context within which they locate themselves are wide-rang-ing, reflecting their individual aesthetic concerns.
