Sneha Krishnan is a visual artist and designer who spends her time between India and New York. She works around themes of the integration of inner conflict and its interaction with the external world. Through her process, she questions the dichotomies of human existence in hopes to find new perspectives about light, about darkness ,about beauty and love.
In painting, she observes the world around her as an unattached outsider ; not bound by a particular medium, Sneha often uses found materials to transfer the dynamic textures found in her lived experiences onto her paintings. For example, in recent works, she uses materials such as cotton and clay to imitate the wildness of moss.
Sneha has a bachelors in Design from National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi and a Masters in Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, New York and currently resides in Goa, India.
